A: Position Summary:
To develop Windows and Web based solutions as well as assist in the testing and stabilizing of the solution, research and development.
B: Responsibilities:
1. Effective architecture and development of new and existing systems
• Interface with the business to ascertain development needs, translate it into a functional specification and obtain sign-off.
• Complete development tasks as per allocation and project plan.
2. Effective maintenance of existing systems
• Liaise with internal stakeholders to identify problems related to current systems e.g. bug fixes and maintenance.
• Complete development tasks as per allocation.
• Ensure that the development and production environments are available and maintained effectively.
3. Effective reporting on scheduled and ad-hoc projects relating to systems
• Building permanent reports as hosted in the custom systems.
• Building ad-hoc reports as required and logged on the service desk.
• Building reports for scheduled delivery.
4. Perform scheduled data processes for external stakeholders
• Maintain and execute the billing and arrears processes effectively.
• Supply accurate reports and extraction of data for external stakeholders when required.
• Ensure that all relevant services are functioning effectively.
• Ensure that all data processes have run effectively and where they have not, to troubleshoot and resolve any issues timeously.
C: Education and Experience:
• Matric
• Tertiary Diploma, Certificate or Degree in Computer Systems
• Minimum 6 years’ experience in
• .Net development
• C# development
• Microsoft SQL Development
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in
• SSIS
• SSRS
• 1 year WCF and SOAP XML experience

Position Junior Legal Advisor

Position Summary:
The successful incumbent will be responsible for assisting the Legal and Commercial Director with the legal and governance functions within the Group. The position would suit someone in a similar position in a medium sized corporate or someone looking to move from a law practice into the commercial world.
Responsibilities:
1) Company Secretarial Services:
• Knowledge of the Companies Act
• Drafting of standard resolutions & forms
• Obtaining signatures and documents
• Liaising with external lodgement agents
• Updating record books and electronic databases
• Occasionally taking minutes at meetings
Vetting of Supplier Contracts:
• Vetting and deleting clauses from credit applications
• Vetting and advising on supplier terms and conditions
• Advising on NDA’s etc.
• Advising on lease agreements
Administration of Contracts:
• Creating a database of contracts for each business
• Administering the database
• Highlighting new requirements & risks
Administration of Trademarks:
• Maintaining the database of trademarks
• Liaising with trademark agents for renewals and new marks
• Liaising with agents on infringements
Drafting simple contracts & documents
Assist with standard customer contracts:
• Create a database of standard contracts for each business
• Audit the validity of all standard contracts
• Advise on recommended changes to contracts
• Assist with queries from staff
Researching & providing advice on key legislation:
• National credit Act
• Consumer Protection Act
• Broadcasting Act
• Companies Act
• Basic Conditions, LRA
• FICA, POPI, PSIRA
• Other relevant legislation.
Assisting with the updating of policies and procedures
Providing advice on labour relations when required by HR
Assisting the various business with debt collection:
• Advising on the prospects of success
• Collation of documents required for handover
• Liaising with external attorneys
• Assisting with debt rescue & business rescue
• Providing general legal advice
Education and Experience:
• BA/Bcom LLB
• Admitted Attorney
