The Salesian Institute, Cape Town (www.salesianyouth.org.co.za), dedicated to caring for and changing the lives of vulnerable youth is embarking on a new growth plan. An experienced fundraising officer is needed to play a key role in the newly planned fundraising activities.
The main focus on this newly created position is to work closely with the head of fundraising todevelop strong relationships with corporate and individual donors and to develop a new source of revenue through the development of an online fundraising platform.
Key responsibilities will include:
Raising funds from corporates
Developing partnerships that will help corporations find more creative and rewarding avenues to engage with the center for youth.
Preparing highly tailored proposals to seek substantial new gifts from existing and new
corporate supporters.
Developing income from major donors.
Delivering cultivation events within South Africa with an immediate focus on the corporate community in Cape Town
